Took a trip to Northampton at the weekend and stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson hotel. Nice hotel, great breakfast by why oh why does the health spa close at 7pm. That aside, we went to visit 78, Derngate. A house commissoned to Charles Rennie Mackintosh to decorate it in the modern style of the times in the 1920s, Art deco... Awesome design, so inspiring. Had to wear these plasticy slippers over our shoes to protect the floors. It was a fun weekend apart from the fact it was out of season there was not much to do but hey, there are some super shops there and not too crowded, even on a saturday afternoon.
