simple silver charm bracelet

This was a simple silver bracelet i made. I bought a small link belcher chain in a bracelet length.  Bought a separate clasp.  The key ring hooks on the charms themselves  were very fiddly, I used silver jump rings to attach the charms to the bracelet.  Only have the 3 charms because as they say in the world of design;- 'less is more'.

Shaped Copper bangle

I had some spare copper and decided to make a bangle with it, After guillotoining the slight angle shape I wanted for the hammered side of the bangle I then welded the 2 strips of copper together.  I filed the edges of the bangle to get the rounded off edges and wet and dry sandpaper to get rid of any sharpness. Hard to perhaps detect in this picture, need another but the entire bangle has a satin finish using a buffer designed for that effect reducing shine.

A monthly treat for hair with hot oil treatment

I used grapeseed oil because it is easily absorbed, gives hair shine and reduces brittleness, It is good for all hair types. I used a combination of patchouli, sandalwood and geranium. This combination of oils makes this treatment good for all skin types and on a personal note I love the smell. And for hair like mine that sees heated appliances on a regular basis a hot oil treatment is a must.

Brown sugar and rose body scrub

I made a body scrub using 4 tablespoons of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil and 1 tablespoon of vitamin  E oil and added 2 drops of rose essential oil. Plenty enough for an all over body scrub.   It made bath very slippery even with a mat but so worth using.  Skin feels divine and no extra scrub needed for those rough areas like heels, knees, elbows, this can be concentrated on those areas. I have a thing about rose at the moment but probably because the weather s getting warmer.......

Paul Smith -Rose eau de parfum

I love perfumes and I am loving the scent of roses right now.  I sampled this in a local Boots store and it was j'adore, blown away by the smell, a must have.  I confess when I first saw the packaging and the name of the perfume I thought old fashioned but then I smelt it and was hooked,  Light scent, perfect for the warmer days.

Takes me back to my childhood days when we had a rose bush growing in the garden with a similar smell and my sister and I tried to  make our own perfume with the petals, have'ent most of  us done that.  Smelt vile!!!!  Unlike Rose by Paul Smith....... which smells heavenly.

Bring on the lazy, hazy days of summer!!!!!

silver stone pendant

This is the finished pendant with a new stone bought from 'Angels Crystals' for £1.50.  The original green stone I was going to use was too rounded and fitted within the 'basket' badly when the loop was created from silver wire to hang the pendant on a silver chain.  This stone is a perfect fit and sits well within the silver wire and because it is not a permanent fixture I can change the stone for one a similar shape and size in a different colour,
